Clinical hypnotherapy in Myrtle Beach, SCNot a stage trick. A way to reach the part of you that runs on autopilot.
Hypnosis is a state of focused, relaxed attention. You hear everything and stay in control. What changes is access: in that state, the subconscious patterns behind habits, cravings, pain and fear can be worked with directly, instead of argued with.
Specialty programs
Four named protocols I'm trained and certified in.
Stop smoking in one session
If you've tried to quit, you already know willpower isn't the problem. Smoking is a habit that runs on autopilot: the hand reaches before the thought arrives. Patches and gum treat the nicotine. They don't touch the autopilot.
Hypnosis does. In a state of deep, focused relaxation the mind is open to new instructions, and the automatic link between the cue and the cigarette can be rewritten. I use the Ken Guzzo protocol and run it as a single, focused session. We talk first so I know you're genuinely ready, because that part matters.
Weight, without the diet
Every diet is the same equation: take in less energy than you spend. The equation isn't the hard part. The hard part is the hundred small decisions a day, and the way food has become comfort, reward, boredom and stress all at once.
The HypnoBalloon technique uses your own imagination to create a real, lasting sensation of fullness, the way a gastric balloon does, without the procedure. Smaller portions start to feel like enough. Beyond the balloon itself, the work is about changing your relationship with food: noticing why you're eating, choosing differently, and feeling satisfied instead of deprived.
Pain that has overstayed
Pain control is one of the best-researched uses of hypnosis there is. Chronic pain, old injuries that still ache years later, headaches and body aches that have become the background noise of your life.
OldPain2Go works on a simple idea: pain is a message, and some messages have already been received. When an injury has healed but the signal keeps firing, the signal can be turned down. It's gentle, it's fast, and for the right kind of pain it's remarkable. We'll talk honestly about whether yours is the right kind.
HypnoKids for children and teens
Children are natural at this. They imagine vividly, they play seriously, and they love the experience. The HypnoKids approach is built for exactly that: short, fun, engaging sessions that help a child regulate behavior, focus attention, handle fear, and feel more confident at school.
I work with the child, and I work with you. The goal is a skill they understand and can use on their own, long after our sessions are done.
Also with hypnotherapy
Anxiety, phobias, sleep, performance.
Beyond the four programs, hypnotherapy helps with stress and anxiety management, fears and phobias (flying, needles, driving, public speaking), insomnia and sleep, and performance: athletes, musicians, presenters, exam-takers.
Often it runs alongside counseling. Talk gives you the understanding; hypnosis gives the understanding somewhere to land.
What it feels like
Awake, aware, and deeply relaxed.
You sit comfortably, in my office or at home on a video call. I talk you into a state of deep relaxation and focus. You'll hear my voice, you'll be able to speak, and you can come out of it any time you choose. Most people describe it as the feeling just before sleep, except you remember all of it.
Nobody can be made to do anything against their will under hypnosis. It's a collaboration, and it only works because you want it to.
By what you need
Hypnotherapy for exactly this.

Hypnosis for anxiety, phobias and sleep
You already know the plane is safe and the needle is small. Knowing doesn't help, because fear doesn't run on knowing. Hypnosis works where the fear actually lives.
